そして、
サロンがあるアパートメントが100年経ちました。
30名ほどの住民の皆さんと、100周年をお祝いすることができました。(写真右下に現サロンがあります)
長い歴史のほんの一時期に、たまたま居合わせた日本人の僕を温かく受け入れてくださり、
アパートメントの100年の歴史を教えていただきました。
100年という長い時間の流れの中で、僕がここにいるのはほんの一瞬。それでも、この場所と出会い、
そこに暮らす人たちと時間を共有できたことを嬉しく思います。
そして、100年前のアパートメントの前に、僕の大好きな Volvo、MINI、Volkswagen が並んでいるのも
なんだか、これも不思議なご縁を感じます。
また、サロンでお会いしましょう！

The apartment building where my salon is located has now reached its 100th anniversary.
The other day, I had the opportunity to celebrate this special milestone together with around 30 of the residents. The salon you see in the bottom right of the photo is the one I currently run.
For just a brief moment in this apartment’s long 100-year history, I happened to be here — a Japanese man who came from somewhere far away. Yet everyone welcomed me so warmly and shared with me the fascinating history of this place.
When you think about the flow of 100 years, my time here is just a tiny moment.
And yet, I feel incredibly grateful to have discovered this place and to have shared a part of my life with the people who live here.
And then, seeing my favorite cars — Volvo, MINI, and Volkswagen — lined up in front of an apartment building that has stood here for 100 years somehow feels like another wonderful coincidence.
We look forward to seeing you again at the salon!
